On Thursday 17th September we are launching the first course for the brand new Staff Art Club. The first series of workshops focus on mosaics and are delivered by experienced artist and workshop leader Coralie Turpin. We are working in collaboration with Museums Sheffield, choosing works of art in their collection as inspiration for the work our staff will be making. You will receive your own mosaic kit and Coralie will show examples, demonstrate the skills of cutting and placing and offer one-to-one support via MS Teams.
The workshops take place every Thursday evening, between 6.30 and 7.30pm from 17th September to 22nd October.
To sign up, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with a brief paragraph on why you feel these workshops would support your health and wellbeing as well as a firm commitment that you will be able to attend all 6 workshops. (15 places max.)
Jessica Shipton, Public Programme Coordinator at Museums Sheffield says:
We’re very excited to work with Sheffield Teaching Hospitals Trust on these staff art workshops. Taking some time out to focus on our wellbeing is more important now than ever. Art is a great way to reduce stress and have a creative, emotional outlet, while enjoying the chance to learn something new and have fun doing it.
More workshops are planned over the next 2 years with a focus on learning new skills in a variety of creative disciplines to support staff wellbeing.
