Patterns of Flora free colouring in drawings by artist Frances Priest

Edinburgh based artist Frances Priest  was commissioned in 2015 by Atlas Arts based on the Isle of Skye, to create a collection of bespoke ceramic artworks for Raasay House on the island of Rasaay.  To accompany these artworks, now permanently installed in the House, she worked in collaboration with botanist Stephen Bungard to create a colouring book, featuring seven illustrations of unique plant habitats found on the Island of Rasaay:  Bog, Coast, Freshwater Loch, Limestone, Moor, Mountain and Woodland

Frances and Atlas Arts kindly offer these as a free download here until the end of May 2020.  More information about this project can be found here.

Our team knows that colouring in can be a pleasant activity and a distraction from anxiety, pain or boredom.  We use it a lot with our patients and hope that our staff will find it relaxing and rewarding.

Atlas Arts based in Portree, on the Isle of Skye, seeks to be a pioneering producer and commissioner of contemporary art that will create connections between artists and audiences and respond to the unique qualities of this region, its landscapes, its culture and people.
